superb antique victorian 19th century walnut desk, hall side chair, carved legs

Here we have a beautiful Victorian walnut side hall or desk chair, dating to the middle part of the 19th century. This stunning example has rich warm colour and superb patina. With beautiful padded back and carved top crest, the whole sits over a serpentine fronted and overstuffed seat base, sat on two expertly carved front legs. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints, it has green upholstery trimmed with gold and is in good condition with no marks or stains. The underside of the chair has the makers stamp, and was made in Liverpool, the carvings are of high quality, and the chair is amongst the best we have seen.
