    A wonderfully typical Art Deco light shade, fashioned from solid alabaster, and suspended by three chains.

     
    It measures 4.5ins (11cms) high and has a diameter of 14ins ( 36cms). It is suspended by three equi-distant chains which int turn are anchored to the solid sha=de by scews attaching to a cast metal floral garland, of three blooms.
     
    The natural material is mellowly coloured and looks very nice up on a ceiling but it really comes to life when it is back illuminated, the translucency of the material allowing the natural variation in colour and all the natural veining to show to their best advantage.
     
    A great period feature that would up the ante in any setting!
